I am confident that at Carmel, everyone will understand the true meaning of life, love life and live life to its fullest with the Almighty as the guide, and reach the heights of glory.

Sr. Maria Swati A.C.

Principal

Silver years have gone by in a blur. It is truly an honour to serve as the principal of Carmel Convent Hr. Sec. School. Laughter, tears, uncertainty, puzzles of life, delight, sorrow, glee, despair, we have seen the whole gamut of emotions. And each time we have seen a sad face transform into a joyous one, we know we have done something right, yet again.

Carmel is a welcoming and dynamic community that provides an exceptional education in a faith-filled environment. We are committed to the development of the whole child-intellect and spirituality, social and physical. Experience of faith and service leads our students to a greater love for God and an appreciation for others. Each day brings new opportunities, and we continually use reflection and evidence-based decision making to foster continuous improvement. Carmel Staff is a highly qualified professional educator and supports providing our students with many opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.

To me, education as an idea is not just about bricks, mortar and concrete, but about building character, enriching minds and varied experiences that last a lifetime.

"Teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning"

These lines by Robert John Meehan, have always motivated me towards what I need to do as a teacher. Learning is a process of constantly updating in an ever-changing world. Passion for teaching has always helped me strive to instil in students a personal conviction and values to motivate their actions.

In our ever-growing institution, there is always innovation to better oneself. Challenges always empower you. This institution has kept my passion for teaching alive. We empower the students, make them even more responsible and motivated to excel in whatever situation they may be.

I wish and pray that every child entrusted to our care be a blessing to society.

Ms. Priya Darshanee Gupta

Staff Secretary

The teacher encourages minds to think, hands to create, hearts to love. Teaching is a very noble profession that shapes the character, calibre, and future of an individual.

The journey as a teacher started 20 years ago. I started as the pre-primary wing of Carmel. Carmel allowed me to grow beyond what I could imagine. To be a part of a revolution at ensuring quality education and opportunities for girls is a matter of pride.

The bright twinkle in the eyes of Carmelites fills me with determination and instils a deep sense of responsibility in me. The pleasure I find in teaching my students is indescribable. Looking back on my career, I can honestly say that Carmel can make a student smile even in adverse situations. It can boost self-esteem and instil confidence in her. It gives a child a chance to share her feelings.

In short, I can say this prestigious institution makes a difference.
